Domes for the World continues to make international news for its rebuilding efforts in the earthquake-stricken region of Indonesia. The Brisbane Times of Australia reported on the newly constructed village of New Nglepen in its May 29th edition saying that some youngsters have dubbed the Monolithic Ecoshell Domes “Teletubby houses,” in a reference to the British television series for children. Click here to read about local reaction to the dome homes, which have replaced traditional houses that were flattened by the earthquake.
New Nglepen, which is located on Java’s Yogyakarta region, also made the front page of the China Post. Click here to read the Agence France-Presse article published in Taiwan’s largest English-language daily newspaper.
